Data on the number of children in nurseries are available on annual basis, at he end of the year. Data refers to all children enrolled in this programme.Starting with the 2011-2012 school year, the duration of primary education was extended to 5 years and includes preparatory grade and grades I-IV. The provision will be implemented progressively, starting with the 2011-2012 school year.TIn the program can be enrolled persons whose age is at least 4 years over the appropriate age for the respective grade; also, students who completed a number of grades in primary education can be enrolled; the program duration can be reduced for a student with equivalised competences achieved in the formal, non-formal, or informal system.Following a written request of the parents, legal guardians or legal upholders, children with special needs, aged 6 to 8 years, may be enrolled in preparatory grades at the beginning of the school year.Lower secondary education includes secondary education, with a duration of 4 years and junior high education with a duration of 2 years. At the end of lower secondary education level the students will receive a graduation certificate. dThe duration of special lower secondary education for children with severe disabilities, is 6 years. The Programme is addressed to students enrolled in "the second chance" programme targeting the lower secondary education (compulsory education) students, namely those students who, due to various reasons, have not managed to complete the lower secondary education level. Vocational education consists of 2 years corresponding to junior high education and the stages of practical training, with a duration of 1/2 years. The Programme is addressed to students enrolled in "the second chance" programme targeting the first cycle upper secondary education (compulsory education) students. Persons aged 14 and over can be enrolled in the programme; also, may be enrolled students who completed a number of grades in primary and lower secondary education (grades V, VI and VII); the program duration is 4 years, followed by practical training with a duration of 1/2 years, and it can be reduced for a student with equivalised comptencies acquired in formal, non-formal and informal system. The program graduates receive, also, a professional training certificate, level 2 (equivalent to 3 EQF).Special vocational education consists of 3 years, corresponding to lower secondary junior high school, and practical training, with a duration of 1/2 years.*There are not 2 different programmes. However, the difference is given by one particular feature of students enrolled in these programmes, namely: part of students enrolled in 04.1 (i.e. 454) were previously awarded a Baccalaureate (upper secondary) diploma, and only this diploma/degree provides its holder with the opportunity to continue his/her studies and enrol in higher/tertiary education after completion of programme 04.1; on the other hand, there are also students enrolled in 04.1 programme (i.e. 453) who, due to various reasons, have not obtained the Baccalaureate (upper secondary education) diploma, and therefore, they cannot go further and enrol in tertiary/higher education, even if they complete 04.1 programme. xStudy programs leading to a Bachelor degree have different durations for specific scientific fields. In our national legislation, the duration to complete a study program is expressed in the number of transferable study credits necessary for level completion. Usually, a number of 180 credits (ECTS equivalent) is required for completion. This is the equivalent of 3 years of study. Excepted domains are: medical studies (360 credits required for completion); phrmaceutics (300 credits required); law and engeneering (240 credits required); architecture and foreign languages (240 credits required); theology (240 credits required).Until the academic year 2011-2012, we were filling in the UOE tables with data on students enrolled in Bachelor's programmes (total), regardless of the studies duration. Data for the academic years 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 on students who, upon completion of a study programme lasting 5-6 years, have obtained joint degrees (RO: "diplome comasate"), shall be estimated in those tables where there is no information. Starting with academic year 2014-2015, following the redesign of statistical questionnaires on education due to the implementation the new International Standard Classification of Education - ISCED 2011, data shall be provided separately in the UOE tables, corresponding to the duration of studies.Master's degree studies are organised according to the Law 1/2011 into three different study program types: research master's, professional master's and didactic master's. However, the value of the degrees is equivalent and they all grant the right to pursue doctoral studies upon completion. Also, secondary legislation has not yet been approved by competent authorities, therefore, in practice this distinction is not yet operational. Professional postgraduate specialization courses are organised by those universities holding official accreditation for organising bachelor's degree level study programs in the respective scientific domain. The postgraduate professional courses are organised according to internal regulations of each university and they aim at provinding graduates with a supplementary professional certificate to the one they obtain by graduating bachelor's degree study programs. They are common to medical studies (specialized clinical training for physicians - RO: rezidenciat) and very rare or even non-existant in other domains. * For the moment no distinction between students/graduates in/from these programmes (level 6 and 7) is possible. %R4 prog.00.01 prog.00.02 prog.01.01 prog.01.02 prog.01.03 prog.02.01 prog.02.02 prog.02.03 prog.03.01 prog.03.02 prog.03.03 prog.03.04 prog.04.01 prog.05.02 prog.05.03 prog.05.04 prog.06.01 prog.06.02 not the case 19 and over 13 and over 14 and overUpper secondary education has a sequence-type pathway on three lines of studies: general, vocational (military, educational, sports, arts, theology) and technological.
